Definition of task barA Task Bar is a Bar displayed on a full edge of a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Desktop which is used to launch and monitor running applications and programs in a Computer. You can get the Computer Task Bar to the most down side of your Computer Monitor Screen. It is very useful for opening your “Current Opened Windows” and work at a time in your Computer. Start Menu is also helpful for doing work from the Computer Task Bar. You can use the Computer Task Bar to see the Data and Time. You can also use the Computer Task Bar to see the Clock. You can use many Windows at a time in your Computer Task Bar.

Why will you hide task bar icons

a) Use start button

“Start Menu Button” is known as “Start Button”. From the “Start Button”, you will get a “Start Menu” in your Computer Task Bar. “Start Button” is different in one to another Windows. For- Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, all the Windows Operating System’s “Start Button” is different one to another in your Computer Task Bar.

b) Use quick launch bar

The Quick Launch Bar contains shortcuts to applications. Windows provides default entries such as “Launch Internet Explorer Browser”. The User or Third Party Software may add any further Shortcuts that they choose. When, you are Installing a Software, that time, you will get a Option to “Install” that Software’s Shortcut to “Quick Launch Bar” in that “Software Installation Wizard”. Then, you will get a Shortcut Icon to “Quick Launch Bar”. A single click on the application’s icon in this area launches the application in your Computer Task Bar. This section may not always be present. For example- Quick Launch Bar is “Turned Off” by default in Windows XP and Windows 7 Operating System in your Computer Task Bar.

c) Minimize foreground windows

You can Minimize “Foreground Windows” by clicking their button on the Computer Task Bar. When, you are using many Windows, that time, you can Minimize “Foreground Windows” by clicking their button on the Computer Task Bar. Then, you can use another Windows from the Computer Task Bar. Active Windows will be shown in the Computer Task Bar.

d) Use task bar icons

When, you install a New Software in your Computer, that time, sometimes, you will get a Shortcut of that Software’s “Shortcut Icon” to the right of the Computer Task Bar. You can use that Software’s “Task Bar Icon” directly from the Computer Task Bar’s Right side of your Computer Screen.

e) Check date and time

Usually, you see the Date from the Calendar for doing any work. But, you can know the Date from the Task Bar “Adjust Date/ Time” option in your Computer Task Bar. Usually, you do your work to see the Clock from your “Hand Watch”. But, you can see the Clock from your Computer Task Bar’s most right side. So, you do not need your “Hand Watch” to see the Clock. You can also adjust the Clock Time in your Computer Task Bar.

f) Get balloon notifications

Sometime, you will get a Notification about a specific Information from the Computer Task Bar. For example- When you Insert a New Pen Drive to the “Computer Casing USB Port”, that time, you will get a Notification which is “Installing device driver software” in your Computer Task Bar.

g) Disable moving or resizing task bar

Usually, your Computer Task Bar is (by Default) Disabled to Move or Resize in your Computer. But, if you want to Move or Resize the Computer Task Bar, that time, you can do it from the Computer Task Bar.

h) Task bar grouping

Computer Task Bar can group the “Task Bar Buttons” of some windows from the same application into a single button. This Button pops up a menu listing all the grouped windows when clicked. This keeps the Task Bar from being overcrowded when many windows are open at once. Then, you can choose which Window you want to see and click that Window from your Mouse. Then, that Window will be opened to use from the Computer Task Bar.

i) Show thumbnail views

Computer Task Bar can window previews which show thumbnail views of the application in real time. You can see the “Active Windows” which is shown in “Thumbnail Views” from the Computer Task Bar.

j) Show or hide icons

The user can choose to always show or hide some icons or hide them if inactive for some time. A Button allows the user to reveal all the icons from the Computer Task Bar.
